Join the AIR6500 Program as a Subcontract Administrator , supporting the effective administration and coordination of subcontractor and supplier activities across the program.
Working closely with the AIR6500 Subcontract Program Manager, contract administration, purchasing teams, and suppliers, you will help coordinate subcontract requirements, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure subcontract documentation and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
This is an chance to develop your experience in subcontract administration and contribute to a major, complex program while working as part of a collaborative commercial and supply chain team.
Key responsibilities
- Support the preparation and coordination of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions.
- Assist with the preparation of bid packages and coordination of bidder activities.
- Support the review and evaluation of supplier proposals.
- Assist with subcontract negotiations, awards, and ongoing administration.
- Coordinate subcontract additions, deletions, and modifications.
- Support the management and coordination of services provided by primary subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.
- Assist with monthly internal and external subcontractor performance reporting.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the AIR6500 Subcontract Program Manager.
- Work with contract administration and purchasing teams to support subcontract policies, procedures, and processes.
- Maintain accurate subcontract documentation, records, and reporting.
What you'll bring
- Experience in defence, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or another project-based environment would be advantageous.
- Experience in subcontract administration, procurement, purchasing, contracts, or a similar commercial environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- An understanding of subcontract or procurement processes and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively within a team.
- Strong Microsoft Office and document management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and develop within a complex program environment.
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
