A growing local accommodation business is looking for a hands‑on Housekeeping Supervisor to take ownership of the cleaning and laundry operation across our Muswellbrook properties all within the Muswellbrook town area. This is a working supervisor role, not a desk job. You'll be turning rooms yourself, running our in‑house laundry, and leading a small team to make sure every property is guest‑ready, every time. Our work is driven by guest checkouts — and while the role is mainly Monday to Friday, some weekend work is required depending on checkouts. You'll report to head office and run the day‑to‑day on the ground yourself, so this suits someone genuinely self‑motivated who takes pride in a job done properly without needing to be told.
Key responsibilities
Cleaning and servicing rooms and properties to a high, consistent standard — hands‑on, every day
Running our in‑house laundry, and managing linen stock and supplies (ordering as required)
Leading a small cleaning team — rostering, recruiting, training recent cleaners, and managing performance
Inspecting completed rooms to make sure they meet our standard before guests arrive
Stepping in to cover cleaning shifts when team members are unavailable
Keeping properties guest‑ready around the checkout schedule, including some weekend work as needed
About you
Previous housekeeping or motel/accommodation cleaning experience (highly regarded)
Team leadership or management experience (ideal)
A current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle — all properties are within Muswellbrook
Self‑motivated and dependable, comfortable working autonomously and managing your own day
Physically fit for hands‑on cleaning and laundry work
Willing to undergo a National Police Check
