About Us
At Coastal Truck Services, we pride ourselves on being one of the Central Coast’s leading truck, trailer and equipment repair workshops. We provide a comprehensive range of services including heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance, auto electrical, air conditioning, tyres, registration inspections and defect clearances, providing our customers with a reliable one-stop shop for their fleet maintenance and repair needs.
With continued growth and a brand-new purpose-built workshop currently under development, we are looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our team at Warnervale.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our workshop team, you’ll work across a diverse range of trucks, trailers and heavy vehicle equipment, with responsibilities including:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across trucks, trailers and heavy vehicles
- Complete scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections
- Identify and carry out required repairs to a high standard
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality and compliance requirements
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior mechanics as required
- Working closely with the wider workshop team to minimise downtime and keep our customers' fleets moving
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology – essential
- Heavy Vehicle AIS inspection ticket – highly regarded
- Automotive Air Conditioning licence – highly regarded
- Previous experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, components and repair procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant and high-quality workshop environment
- Current driver's licence – heavy vehicle licence desirable, but not essential
- Forklift licence – desirable
