About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by selling Menumiz’s SaaS products to hospitality venues across Melbourne and surrounding regions. This role owns the full sales cycle—from prospecting and cold outreach to product demonstrations, negotiations, and deal closure—while working closely with internal teams to ensure successful client onboarding.

Responsibilities

- Identify, prospect, and secure recent hospitality clients including restaurants, cafés, bars, and takeaway venues.
- Conduct cold visiting to generate new leads and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Deliver persuasive product presentations and on-site or virtual demos of Menumiz solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract execution.
- Maintain accurate records, pipeline updates, and forecasts using the company CRM system.
- Understand customer pain points and recommend appropriate Menumiz product packages.
- Attend industry events, networking sessions, and hospitality expos when required.
- Collaborate with onboarding, support,



and operations teams to ensure a smooth post-sale transition.
- Monitor competitor offerings and provide market insights to management.

Qualifications

- Valid Australian work rights.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for client meetings.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience (B2B).

Required Skills

- Strong experience in outbound B2B sales activities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems for lead and pipeline management.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage targets, and meet sales KPIs.

Preferred Skills

- Experience selling to the hospitality industry.
- Background in hospitality technology (hospotech) solutions such as POS, QR ordering, online ordering platforms, food delivery services, and etc.
- Established network within the Melbourne hospitality sector.
