Yard and Warehousing - Building Products

The Yard & Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the safe, effective and professional day-to-day operation of the West Gosford yard and warehouse. The role ensures customers are loaded promptly, incoming deliveries are unloaded safely, orders are picked and prepared accurately, stock is organised correctly, and the site is maintained to MD Brick's presentation standards. This is a hands-on role combining forklift operation, manual handling, customer service, safety and site presentation.

Key responsibilities

- Acknowledge customers promptly and provide friendly, skilled service
n
- Safely load cars, utes, trailers and trucks with the correct products and quantities
n
- Safely and efficiently unload rigid trucks, semi-trailers and supplier vehicles
n
- Check deliveries and promptly report shortages, damage or discrepancies
n
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare orders for customer collection, delivery or transfer
n
- Safely handle bricks, blocks, pavers and other building products, including individual products weighing up to approximately 20 kg
n
- Hold and maintain a current forklift licence and operate forklifts safely and responsibly
n




- Follow MD Brick loading, unloading, PPE, traffic-management and manual-handling procedures
n
- Take day-to-day ownership of the presentation of the yard, warehouse, loading areas and product displays
n
- Keep stock organised, loading and pedestrian areas clear, and remove rubbish, broken packaging and debris
n

About you

- Current forklift licence and demonstrated safe forklift operation
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Ability to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of the role
n
- Good verbal communication skills and strong workplace-safety awareness
n
- Safety minded, with strong awareness around forklifts, trucks, pedestrians and heavy products
n
- Reliable and accountable – turns up, follows through and completes tasks properly
n
- Proactive and organised – notices what needs doing and takes action
n
- Customer focused – approachable, helpful and professional
n
- Physically capable of regular picking, packing, bending, reaching and safe manual handling
n
- Calm and able to prioritise when several customers or trucks require attention
