NIGHT MANAGER — SOHO RESTAURANT & BAR

n

Located on the Yarra River in the heart of Southbank, Soho is a high-energy restaurant and bar that transitions from busy lunches and dinners into lively evening trade, DJs, drinks and late nights.

n

We're looking for an experienced, confident and energetic Night Manager to take ownership of our evening and late-night operations.

n

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a busy venue, knows how to lead from the floor and can take control of a shift from start to finish.

n

The Role

n

As Night Manager, you will be the manager in charge during evening and late-night trade, responsible for ensuring Soho operates at a high standard across service, people, atmosphere and venue operations.

n

You won't just supervise the shift — you'll own it.

n

Your Responsibilities Will Include

n

n
- Leading the FOH team throughout evening and late-night service
n
- Taking overall responsibility for the venue while on duty
n
- Driving exceptional customer service and a strong venue atmosphere
n
- Managing staff deployment, sections, breaks and labour throughout the shift
n
- Maintaining strong communication between the floor, bar and kitchen
n
- Supporting and directing supervisors and senior team members
n
- Managing guest feedback, complaints and difficult situations professionally
n
- Working closely with security and ensuring strong RSA and venue compliance
n
- Overseeing DJs, entertainment and the transition from restaurant to late-night trade
n
- Ensuring venue presentation and operational standards are maintained throughout the night
n
- Managing closing procedures and ensuring the venue is properly secured
n




- Providing clear handovers and reporting any operational or staffing issues to senior management
n

ABOUT YOU:

n

We're Looking For Someone Who

n

n
- Has previous management experience in a busy restaurant, bar or hospitality venue
n
- Is confident running a high-volume service
n
- Is comfortable managing both restaurant and late-night bar environments
n
- Leads from the front and isn't afraid to get involved
n
- Can confidently direct and motivate a team
n
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
n
- Remains calm and makes good decisions under pressure
n
- Understands labour management, RSA and venue compliance
n
- Has strong attention to detail
n
- Takes genuine pride in the venue they are running
n
- Is available to work evenings, weekends and late nights
n

n

Experience in a high-volume restaurant/bar or entertainment-led venue will be highly regarded.
