We are seeking a proactive and organised Clinical Support Officer (CSO) to provide essential administrative and transactional support to our healthcare teams across designated wards and units. In this ward/unit-based role, you will support the day-to-day activities of Nurses, Midwives, Medical and Allied Health staff, working closely with ward clerks and communication officers to ensure efficient service delivery.
The CSO provides timely and accurate administrative support under the direction of the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, contributing to established systems and processes while exercising initiative and independent judgement within defined procedures. Opportunities may exist to provide support across multiple wards, units, or areas of the health facility, depending on service needs. - Hold or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent while working as a Clinical Support
- Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
