About the role

n

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Cafe All Rounder to join the team at Simple Coffee House in Southport.

n

This is a hands-on role that will involve a mix of front of house customer service, drink preparation and kitchen food preparation. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, is happy to jump in wherever needed and takes pride in providing great service and quality food.

n

Barista experience is a bonus, but it's not essential. If you're friendly, switched-on, willing to learn and have a genuine interest in hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.

n

This is a casual position with preferably an immediate start, but we could wait for the right person to give notice if needed.

n

As we have a long-standing contract with the Queensland Police Service, you may be required to undergo a police check as a condition of employment.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service
n
- Taking orders and processing payments
n
- Preparing coffees and other drinks including smoothies, juices, matcha and milkshakes
n
- Assisting with food preparation in the kitchen
n
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and other cafe food
n
- Serving food and drinks and keeping the front counter looking great
n
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures, general cleaning
n

- Is friendly, positive and genuinely enjoys providing great customer service
n
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
n
- Is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced cafe environment
n
- Is happy to work across both front of house and kitchen food preparation
n
- Communicates well, works as part of a team and is willing to take feedback
n
- Has hospitality experience (preferred, but not essential) — barista experience is a bonus, but not essential
n
