Position Overview
Shearwater is seeking Expressions of Interest for a temporary Steiner Kindergarten Assistant who is also a qualified Kindergarten Teacher and open to casual work.
Shearwater provides an exceptional Steiner educational environment and learning experience for allstudents. You would be joining a collective of teachers and educational staff dedicated to providing an imaginative approach to teaching and learning based on Steiner’s pedagogical insights, within a dynamic and progressive Steiner educational environment.
Ideally, the Kindergarten Assistant will have both a certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent) whilst being a qualified Teacher, with demonstrated experience with the theories, practices, and principles of Steiner Early Childhood education.
It is the School's preference that the successful candidate can support the Kindergarten as both an Assistant and Teacher,
as there will be opportunities within the contract to work casually in both capacities. There is also a strong likelihood that there will be an opportunity to extend past the current term.
