Role Description

This part-time Business Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Cercle scientifique Math-Info is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with a combination of on-site and work-from-home arrangements. The role involves gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, analyzing existing business processes, and helping identify opportunities for improvement. The Business Analyst will assist in preparing clear documentation, reports, and basic visualizations to support data-driven decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include participating in meetings, clarifying needs with team members, supporting the development and testing of proposed solutions, and helping ensure that changes align with business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to learn best practices and contribute to small projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and support explicit recommendations.




- Foundational Business Analysis abilities, including requirement gathering, documentation, and basic stakeholder engagement.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of Business Process concepts, with the ability to map, review, and suggest incremental improvements.
- Ability to work with Business Requirements, translating needs into structured, actionable specifications.
- Relevant tertiary studies or recent completion of a degree in business, mathematics, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and basic data analysis tools; familiarity with visualization or diagramming tools is an advantage.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a structured, mentoring-focused environment.
