Altitude1148 is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our dedicated back-of-house team. Located at the Southern Gateway Centre in Bulli, our venue offers a contemporary restaurant, café, and function space with exceptional panoramic views of the Illawarra.
This role is ideal for someone with strong kitchen experience who is available to work across weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support kitchen operations and food preparation
- Assist with kitchen hand duties
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas
- Follow food safety and WHS procedures
- Assist chefs with basic tasks as required
- Able to work in a team environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen environment
- Good food preparation and organisational skills
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High standard of personal presentation
- Understanding of food hygiene standards and safe kitchen practices
- Must have access to a car, as the venue is not serviced by public transport.
Availability:
- Weekend shifts
- Public holidays
- Evenings on Fridays and Saturdays
