Role Description The Cosmetic Nurse will provide client-focused cosmetic treatments and clinical care in an on-site setting in Melbourne, VIC. This part-time role involves performing injectable and non-injectable procedures (within scope of practice), completing pre-treatment assessments, and conducting thorough consultations to discuss treatment options, expectations, and aftercare. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, monitoring client progress, following evidence-based protocols, and adhering to infection prevention and safety standards.
The Cosmetic
Nurse will collaborate with other clinicians and support staff, contribute to treatment planning, and help ensure a positive, inclusive client experience.
Qualifications
- Current nursing registration (e.g., RN or EN) with the relevant Australian regulatory body and eligibility to perform cosmetic procedures within scope of practice.
- Experience in aesthetic or dermatological nursing, cosmetic injectables, or related clinical settings, with strong knowledge of facial anatomy and skincare treatments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, evidence-based care, including thorough assessments, treatment planning, and clear post-treatment instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive, respectful approach to clients of diverse backgrounds and identities.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation skills, and adherence to clinical protocols, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to training in new technologies and procedures, and willingness to work collaboratively in a team workplace.
- Basic computer literacy for managing electronic records, scheduling, and clinic correspondence; previous experience in private practice or medical spa settings is an advantage.
