Course Quality & Self-Assurance Specialist

Location negotiable across NSW (subject to campus availability)

Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time Opportunities

$158,345 - $162,265 salary package - includes base salary ($139,508 - $142,962), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

(Part-time roles will be paid pro-rata)

About the role

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the integrity and quality of education at TAFE NSW. As a Course Quality and Self-Assurance Specialist (CQSAS), you play a key role in embedding educational quality, compliance and self-assurance frameworks into course development processes.

This position is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of vocational education standards, a passion for quality assurance and the ability to influence and support teams in delivering high-quality learning outcomes.

CQSAS work across a range of teams within the Course Development and Quality (CDQ) Branch, each contributing specialist expertise at different points in the course lifecycle. While each team has distinct responsibilities, they work collaboratively to support course planning, course development and quality assurance. The CSQAS ensures that TAFE NSW courses are developed and maintained to a high standard,



meet regulatory and compliance requirements and support consistent quality outcomes for students, industry and teachers.

About You

You’re a natural collaborator, confident in guiding others through quality assurance frameworks, and driven by a commitment to academic integrity and continuous improvement. You’re passionate about educational quality and take pride in ensuring learning experiences meet the highest standards. With a solid understanding of vocational education and a sharp eye for compliance, you thrive on supporting teams to deliver courses that are both rigorous and engaging.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Appropriate Degree or Diploma at AQF level 5-8 or equivalent, or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary learning and assessment techniques.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the standards and regulatory environment governing vocational education and training.
- Demonstrated experience supporting educational quality and compliance-focused initiatives to drive organisation-wide improvements and outcomes.
