Role Description This full-time remote Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) role supports the Court of Appeal of Brussels in managing, analyzing, and interpreting judicial and administrative data. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and cleaning datasets, performing descriptive and basic inferential analyses, and preparing reports and dashboards to help monitor case flows, processing times, and resource allocation. The role involves building and maintaining simple data models to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

The Data

Analyst works closely with legal and administrative teams to translate data findings into clear, actionable insights, and to document methodologies and results. The position requires consistent collaboration via digital communication tools while working independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and foundational knowledge of data analytics techniques.
- Understanding of statistics, including basic descriptive and inferential methods.




- Ability to design and work with simple data modeling approaches for reporting and forecasting.
- Effective communication skills to present complex data in a clear and accessible way to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with common data tools (e.g., Excel, basic BI tools, or statistical software) and an interest in learning more advanced tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in data analytics, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Qualified interest in the public sector or justice system; knowledge of or willingness to learn about judicial processes is an asset.
- Working proficiency in at least one of the court’s languages (French or Dutch); additional proficiency in the other language is an advantage.
