Role Description This part time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Festival du LÀC is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of on-site work and the option to work from home. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets related to festival operations, audiences, and ticketing.
The Data
Analyst will prepare basic reports and dashboards, support statistical analysis of attendance and engagement trends, and assist in building simple data models to inform planning and budgeting. The position requires collaboration with event, marketing, and finance teams to translate data findings into clear, actionable insights. The role also includes maintaining documentation of methods, validating data quality, and continuously learning new tools and techniques to improve analysis.
Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate strong Analytical Skills, including problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Foundational experience or coursework in Data Analytics and Data Modeling for business or event-related datasets.
- Basic knowledge of Statistics, including understanding of distributions, correlation, and significance testing.
- Clear and effective Communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and introductory data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; exposure to SQL, Python, or R is an advantage).
- Attention to detail and accuracy when working with large or complex datasets.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and manage time across on-site and remote tasks.
- Relevant tertiary study or training in data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
