Business Development Manager - Plumbing & Trade Supplies

My client is a well-established Australian distributor of plumbing and trade products, supplying a broad range of products to plumbing contractors, builders, maintenance businesses and trade customers.

They have an established customer base across Brisbane and are looking for an experienced BDM to strengthen existing relationships while opening new accounts.

n

The Role

n

You'll take ownership of a Brisbane territory, spending the majority of your time in the field developing relationships and winning business.

n

You'll work with plumbers, builders, developers, maintenance companies and other trade businesses, helping customers with product selection, pricing and supply while identifying opportunities to increase the value of each account.

n

There is an existing customer base to work from, but this role is not about simply looking after repeat orders.

n

You'll be expected to find current customers, identify where competitors are currently supplying them and give them a reason to change.

n

The product range is broad, covering plumbing, drainage, water, valves, fittings and associated trade products.

n

Who We're Looking For

n





I'm interested in speaking with people who already understand the plumbing and trade supply market.

n

You may currently be working for a plumbing wholesaler, manufacturer, distributor or another supplier selling into the trade.

n

You'll ideally bring:

n

n
- Proven BDM or external sales experience within plumbing or trade supplies
n
- Existing relationships with plumbers, builders and trade businesses
n
- Strong product knowledge and commercial awareness
n
- A genuine ability to win new business
n
- Confidence dealing directly with business owners and decision makers
n
- The personality to build relationships without relying on price alone
n
