Construction Manager

Building on over 40 years of successfulmajor project delivery, we are seeking an accomplished Construction Manager to join our Brisbane-based team.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an experiencedConstruction Manager who enjoys influencing projects long before constructioncommences. Initially joining our Precontracts team, you will play a key role indeveloping winning delivery strategies, methodologies, resource plans andconstruction solutions for major civil infrastructure tenders valued at $300M+.

Working alongside bid teams, estimators, engineers andexecutive leadership, you will contribute to and, in some cases, lead majorproject pursuits, helping shape Bielby's future project portfolio. Followingthe successful award of a project, you will transition into a project-basedConstruction Manager position, leading the delivery function on majormetropolitan or regional infrastructure projects.

Reporting to a Project Manager or Project Director, you willtake ownership of construction delivery, with engineering, project delivery andsite teams working under your leadership to achieve outstanding projectoutcomes.

What You’ll Do

- Leadconstruction inputs into major civil infrastructure tenders and projectpursuits.
- Developconstruction methodologies, staging plans, resourcing strategies anddelivery solutions.
- Contributeto tender strategy, risk reviews, client presentations and bid workshops.
- Providepractical construction insight to maximise project competitiveness anddeliverability.
- Workclosely with engineering, commercial and estimating teams during biddevelopment.




- Identifyconstruction risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Supportproject mobilisation activities following successful contract award.
- Leaddelivery teams across major infrastructure projects as ConstructionManager.
- Manageengineering, project delivery and site teams to ensure safe, efficient andprofitable project delivery.
- Driveperformance across safety, quality, programme, productivity and clientsatisfaction objectives.

What You’ll Bring

- 15+years' experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects.
- Extensiveexperience in construction leadership roles on road, bridge, transport ormajor infrastructure projects.
- Strongknowledge of Design & Construct project delivery environments.
- Demonstratedexperience contributing to major tenders, bids or project pursuits.
- Strongexpertise in construction methodology, planning, staging and projectexecution.
- Provenability to lead large multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Experiencemanaging engineers, supervisors and project delivery personnel.
- Strongcommercial awareness and understanding of project risk management.
- Excellentstakeholder management and communication skills.
- Apractical leadership style with a strong focus on delivery, accountabilityand team performance.
