About the role You will play a key hands-on leadership role in supporting the daily operations of our warehouse floor.

n

In this position, you will help coordinate logistics across receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control while providing operational supervision to warehouse staff and casuals. You will liaise closely with internal sales, customer service, and procurement teams, as well as external freight providers and suppliers, to ensure high operational efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards.

What you will do

n

- Logistics & Operations Support: Support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch activities, while liaising with freight providers and suppliers to manage deliveries and resolve logistics issues.
n
- Team Supervision & Onboarding: Provide day-to-day guidance and task allocation for warehouse team members and casual staff, assisting with safety inductions, system training, and fostering a positive team culture.
n
- Inventory Control & KPI Monitoring: Monitor stock movements, assist with stocktakes, elevate inventory discrepancies, and support site KPIs related to pick accuracy, order fulfilment, and turnaround times.
n
- Floor Operations & Equipment Handling: Operate across all functional zones as required, including protected reach and counterbalance forklift operation, manual handling, and maintaining general upkeep and equipment cleanliness.
n
- Systems & Reporting: Accurately process transactions and track orders using ERP and warehouse management systems, assisting with operational reporting as requested.
n
- OHS & Quality Compliance: Champion workplace safety by performing safety checks (e.g., forklift and racking), reporting hazards/incidents, participating in site safety drills/audits, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

About you

n

n
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in warehouse operations, including proven supervisory or team lead exposure.
n
- Licences & Qualifications: Current Forklift Licence with demonstrated experience operating both reach and counterbalance forklifts. A Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, Logistics, or an equivalent qualification is highly regarded.
n
- Technical & System Skills:



Proficient in warehouse management systems and ERP platforms (e.g., for order processing and inventory control), supported by strong time management and prioritisation skills.
n
- Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of inventory control principles (stock rotation, stocktakes), freight coordination, supplier liaison, and WH&S; practices.
n
- Key Attributes: Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
n
- Flexibility: Availability to work reasonable additional hours during peak periods (e.g., month/year end) and travel to other sites or training as required.
n
