Join Georgiou and Beerwah Coast Connect Alliance for the Wave Stage 1 Brownfield package as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our civil and engineering teams. This package delivers critical upgrades at Beerwah, including heavy rail works, a major station overhaul, and seamless integration with the North Coast Line and the Beerburrum–Nambour Rail Upgrade.

What you will do:

n

n
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective relationships that facilitate the successful communication and implementation of Georgiou's HSE systems
n




- Ensure project teams are adequately trained to perform their HSE responsibilities and provide ongoing coaching to ensure total compliance with internal HSE systems and legislative requirements
n
- Support the business in the preparation of toolbox and HSE pre-start content
n
- Implements and communicates improvements and strategies in response to changes impacting HSE activities
n
- Maintaining and assisting in the ongoing development of Georgiou's HSE systems
n
- Influence a positive attitude and commitment towards safety across the business
n

What you are good at:

n

n
- 6+ years' experience in the health and safety space delivery major civil infrastructure projects
n
- Rail experience, TMR and QR experience is favourable
n
- Demonstrated leadership experience within your team and project
n
- Aside from having experience in a previous safety role with working knowledge ideally within the civil construction industry and chain of responsibility requirements. You should have demonstrated examples to showcase :

- Thorough Knowledge of AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001, Occupational Health, Safety and Setting Act & Regulations
n
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act
n
- Implement a personalised brand of exemplary safety behaviour

- Continuing to maintain the high standard of safety management policies and procedures in place.
