Part-Time Dental Assistant (Path to Full-Time & Course Sponsorship)Job OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate. In this position, you will provide excellent patient care, support our dentists during clinical procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic who is highly coachable and eager to learn. Comprehensive training will be provided across both clinical skills and non-clinical procedures, and we are proud to offer course sponsorship for a Certificate III in Dental Assisting for the right candidate.Schedule & Hours

- Initial Status: Part-time (weekday roster and days to be discussed).
- Weekend Requirement: Must be available to work a half-day every Saturday.
- Future Potential: Opportunity to transition to full-time hours based on performance and clinic needs.

Core Responsibilities
- Chairside Support: Assist the dentist during treatments, manage suction, and pass instruments efficiently.
- Sterilization & Hygiene: Sterilize instruments, disinfect treatment rooms, and strictly follow infection control protocols.
- Instrument Tracking: Record, monitor, and track instruments accurately through the sterilization process to ensure strict compliance and quality control.
- Software & Admin: Use EXACT dental software to update patient records, log clinical notes, and manage scheduling.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and explain post-operative care instructions.
- Radiography Support: Assist with taking radiographs and logging digital images as directed by the dentist.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience is preferred, but we are fully willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude and an eagerness to learn.
- Education & Growth:



Open to candidates wanting to formalise their qualifications via a Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
- Software Skills: Previous experience with EXACT (by Henry Schein One) software is an advantage, but full software and administrative procedure training will be provided.
- Clinical Training: If you have gaps in your practical skills, we will provide hands-on training for all clinical and chairside responsibilities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills to comfort anxious patients and collaborate with the clinic team.
