About the Role
Whittaker Contracting is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team in full-time positions supporting operations at our local Cadia Mine. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established contractor in a stable, long-term role.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of heavy mining and earthmoving equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on work completed
- Provide a high level of service to our mining and construction clients
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
About You
- Trade qualified Diesel Fitter or Automotive Mechanic
- Robust mechanical and technical skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various mine sites
