We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team in Toowoomba for an immediate start. We are especially looking for Support Workers with experience in supporting those with challenging behaviours. We are also looking for Registered or Enrolled nurses who are interested in regular community nursing for some participants.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in recreational and social activities.
- Implement individualised support plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, fostering a positive and empowering environment.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, including any changes in their needs or circumstances.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times,



adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs and assist them in navigating any challenges they may face.

Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience desired but not mandatory).
- Previous experience in disability support or a related role is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
