We are seeking to engage appropriately skilled and qualified individual Support Workers to assist a female client living with an Acquired Brain Injury in Yarrawonga. The client has own vehicle to access the community to participate in activities that are of interest and meaningful to her. You will work as part of a team to support the client with personal care and community access.
Key responsibilities
- Assist all aspects of personal care including showering, toileting and grooming
- Assist with Mealtime Management
- Transport the client in client's own vehicle to access her community
- Assist to attend appointments and complete shopping tasks
- Follow Care Plan, direction and strategies
- Be reliable and dependable
About you
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent, or willing to undertake
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid including CPR qualification
- NDIS workers Screening Clearance
- Current Police Check (No older than 3 months)
- Working With Childrens Check (employee)
- Willingness to undertake personal care (bathing, toileting, personal hygiene) services with customers
- Willingness to undertake and ability to pass Resilience Support Complex Care Core Competencies training and other mandatory training
- A caring and compassionate approach with the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to be flexible in work hours and approach to meet the needs of customers
