A Drama Teacher at Reddam House Australia plays a pivotal role in guiding students through their critical performing arts educational journey. Due to growth and interal opportunities for our existing teachers in 2027, we are seeking expressions of interest from exceptional Drama Teachers with a passion for education, dedication, creativity, and outstanding experience, if that's you, please apply!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Creating Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students and are in line with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements. You will individualise and differentiate learning, ensuring each student is stretched, supported, and makes outstanding progress.
- Supporting and Assessing Progress:



Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported in reaching their potential.
- Building a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued and supported, and are ready to take risks in their learning.
- Collaborating and Sharing Best Practices: Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices, collaborating with colleagues, and dedicating yourself to your own professional development to ensure the highest standard of education for our students.
- Contributing to School Life: Play an active role in the school's co-curricular programme, helping to create a well-rounded, enriching educational experience. From leading clubs to contributing to whole school initiatives, you will help shape the broader life of the school.
- Collaborating with Parents: Maintain open and constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships that support students' progress so that each child feels like an individual, well-known and respected.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Proven experience teaching at a primary or secondary level with a solid grasp of NESA curriculum requirements.
- Skilled in one or more Key Learning Areas, with the ability to engage students across diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management focused on fostering a positive, disciplined environment.
- Proficient in student assessment and progress reporting.
- Experienced in planning and supervising school events and activities.




- Competent in using educational technologies and creative teaching strategies to enrich learning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Accredited with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Valid Working with Children Check
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
- Willingness to assist with lunch/playground supervision and student drop-off/pick-up duties.
- Availability to attend school events outside regular hours (e.g., performances, parent meetings).
