About the role

n

As the Slope Stability Engineer, you will work with the Team Leader Road Assets and the Roads Assets team to manage Council's road formations, slope stability sites and retaining structures portfolio. You will undertake investigations, condition assessments, monitoring and project scoping to support a long-term capital works program and informed investment decisions. This role will see you working with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders to deliver practical infrastructure outcomes that create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or a related field, or equivalent experience combined with ongoing career development in slope stability and retaining structures assets.
n
- A current SafeWork NSW White Card and current Class C Driver Licence.
n
- Extensive experience in road formation, slope stability and retaining structures asset management, including risk management, lifecycle principles and condition assessment.
n
- Strong knowledge of road infrastructure design, construction guidelines, relevant TfNSW,



Austroads and Australian Standards, and geotechnical issues relating to road formation stability.
n
- Demonstrated ability to estimate and cost infrastructure projects, assess and prioritise works, prepare reports and funding submissions, and make evidence-based recommendations.
n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams, consultants and community stakeholders.
n

The commencing salary for this position is up to $104,570. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $121,161 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation

- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
n
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role
n
- This role is located at Council's Erina Depot
n
- A leaseback light vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.
