Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Spanish dishes (tapas, paellas, grilled meats, seafood, etc.) following recipes and presentation standards.
n
- Adapt dishes for dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, vegetarian) when needed.
n
- Monitor cooking temperatures, grill settings, and oven operations to ensure perfect results.
n




- Maintain proper food storage and handling to meet safety standards.
n
- Work efficiently during high-volume catering events, ensuring timely and consistent food service.
n
- Assist with plating, garnishing, and portioning dishes for catering presentations.
n
- Inspect ingredients and finished dishes to ensure top quality and authenticity.
n
- Always follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
n
- Work closely with the kitchen team to execute catering orders smoothly.
n
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required.

Skills and Experience

n

n
- At least 1 year of full time cooking experience, preferably in catering, Spanish cuisine, or high-volume kitchens.
n
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
n
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques (grilling, frying, sautéing, etc.).
n
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
n
- Attention to detail in food presentation and flavour balance.
n
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience).
n
- Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Passion for Spanish cuisine and a team-player attitude.
n
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering outstanding food.
