About the role

We are seeking to grow our team with the appointment of an outstanding Sleep Research Study Coordinator for a one or two-year fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

Coordination of multiple research projects concurrently

Study implementation including document preparation e.g. ethics correspondence, progress reports

Participant recruitment, scheduling of participant visits, performing face-to-face and remote participant visits

Coordination and set-up of study related technical equipment, systems/databases, including training other staff in specialised equipment and processes

Data collection, data entry and monitoring of data ensuring highest-level data integrity

Effective communication with and management of various stakeholders internally and externally

Undergraduate degree in biomedical science, psychology, nursing or a related field

Previous work as a research assistant, research project officer, or similar role in a clinical setting





Ability to learn new technical skills including running specialised equipment, systems and databases

Demonstrated organisational and planning skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

Demonstrated computer competency

Flexibility and willingness to work as required to meet deadlines including early starts or late finishes as required for sleep research activities

Experience working with patients with mental health disorders

Experience working in a sleep and/or mental health clinical research environment

Prior experience of data/statistical analysis

Technical knowledge of biophysiological equipment used in sleep research e.g. EEG/HD-EEG, actigraphy, fNIRS, pupillometry, skin temperature
