About Emergency Service Group

Emergency Service Group (ESG) is a South Australian owned and operated emergency response, medical services and nationally recognised training provider (RTO 46502). We supply Emergency Service Officers, Medical Emergency Service Officers, paramedics, registered nurses and trainers to some of the country's most significant mining, processing and resource operations. Our casual team is 80+ specialists strong, and it is growing. We are looking for more of the right people to join it.

The chance

We are recruiting experienced Emergency Service Officers (ESOs) and Medical Emergency Service Officers (MESOs) for casual placements across our client sites. Rosters and swing lengths vary by site, so this suits people who want genuine flexibility and the ability to pick up work that fits around their commitments. Flights and accommodation to and from site are covered by ESG.

- Delivering pre-hospital patient care and casualty management within your scope of practice
- Responding to site incidents and emergency call-outs, including forward control and scene safety
- Inspecting, testing and maintaining response vehicles, appliances, BA and rescue equipment
- Conducting site inspections, permit and hot work oversight, and emergency preparedness activities
- Supporting site emergency drills, toolbox talks and emergency response training
- Accurate incident documentation and reporting
- Assisting in the continuous development of ESG training programs

- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- The physical fitness to perform emergency response duties, and the ability to be clean shaven for breathing apparatus use
- National Police Clearance and WWCC within 12 months
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia

What you'll need — MESO

Everything listed above, plus a minimum Certificate IV in Health Care (HLT41120) or higher, such as a Diploma of Emergency Health Care, paramedicine qualification or AHPRA registration. Prior industrial, mine site or remote medic experience is highly regarded.

Also well regarded

- Previous experience on mine sites, processing plants or other heavy industry
- HR licence, low voltage rescue, gas test atmospheres, confined space, work at heights
- Emergency Control Organisation, ICS or crew leadership experience

The people we're looking for

- Committed — to your crew, to your currency and to doing the job properly
- Driven — you keep your skills sharp and you look for the work that needs doing
- Customer focused — our clients trust us with their people, and every interaction on site reflects that

You will also need to be safety-led, calm under pressure and able to fit quickly into an established crew.

What we offer

- Competitive casual rates
- All flights and accommodation paid
- Variety of sites, rosters and disciplines
- Ongoing training and currency support through our own RTO
- A responsive, SA-based team that answers the phone

Pre-employment requirements

Successful applicants will need to complete a pre-employment medical, functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening, and hold or obtain a national police clearance. Site-specific inductions and requirements will be advised on placement.

How to apply

Hit Apply and send us your resume along with copies of your qualifications and current tickets. Applications are reviewed as they are received.

If successful

You will receive a link to our staffing online platform, within you'll be required to complete the following;

- Upload a headshot (clear back ground for staff site cards)
