Braddon, ACT | Monday to Friday | 7:30am to 5:00pm Canberra Surgicentre is seeking a motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our specialist Day Hospital team in Braddon.
Our accredited Day Hospital provides a range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including complex wisdom tooth removals, dental extractions, dental implant surgery, and other minor oral surgical procedures. Surgeries are performed under IV sedation and general anaesthetic in a modern, patient-focused environment.
About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing patient surgery bookings and scheduling
- Conducting pre-admission assessments and patient checks
- Providing pre-operative patient information and support
- Assisting within the operating theatre environment (scouting)
- Processing and sterilising reusable medical instruments
- Maintaining infection prevention and control standards
- Supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid organisational and time-management abilities
- A professional and caring approach to patient care
- Previous experience in theatre, day surgery, dental, or perioperative settings will be highly regarded
