About the opportunity
n Myndshift Group supports the mining, civil construction and heavy engineering industries, partnering with leading organisations to deliver experienced personnel across Australia.
n We are currently seeking experienced Underground HD Fitters, Mobile Plant Mechanics and Drill Fitters to join underground hard-rock mining operations throughout Western Australia.
n These opportunities suit trade-qualified fitters with strong underground maintenance experience who are confident diagnosing faults, attending breakdowns and maintaining mixed fleets of loaders, trucks, drills and ancillary equipment.
n Key responsibilities

n

- Complete scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across underground mobile plant.
n
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
n
- Maintain underground development jumbos, production drills, boggers, trucks and ancillary equipment.
n
- Carry out component replacements, equipment inspections and major repairs.
n
- Interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings and OEM service information.
n
- Work closely with maintenance and operational teams to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability.
n
- Complete maintenance documentation and contribute to a robust underground safety culture.

Experience and requirements

n

n




- Australian-recognised heavy mechanical trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent.
n
- Preferably 3-5+ years of post-trade experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment.
n
- Demonstrated underground hard-rock mining experience is essential.
n
- Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc or CAT underground equipment.
n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
n
- Current Australian manual driver's licence.
n
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and relevant site clearances.
n
- Automotive air-conditioning licence, HR licence and OEM training will be highly regarded.

- CAT R2900 loaders and AD-series underground trucks.
n
- Underground integrated toolcarriers, service vehicles and ancillary equipment.
