Operations Manager / Facilities Manager – Shopping Centre

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the operational and facilities management of an established smaller regional shopping centre. As the on-site operational lead, you'll ensure the centre is protected, compliant, well maintained and presented to the highest standard while enjoying the autonomy to make the role your own. Supported by an experienced facilities management team, you'll have access to proven systems, ongoing training and genuine opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the centre to an exceptional standard of presentation, cleanliness and maintenance.
- Oversee the maintenance and performance of all plant and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, workplace health and safety legislation, and statutory obligations.
- Manage cleaning, maintenance, security and specialist service contractors.
- Ensure contractor inductions and compliance requirements are completed.
- Monitor utilities and implement initiatives to improve energy and water efficiency.
- Assist with tenant fit-outs, refurbishments and centre improvement projects.
- Build strong working relationships with tenants, contractors, stakeholders and customers.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance or Facilities Manager who enjoys taking ownership, building strong relationships and delivering high operational standards in a busy commercial environment.
You'll bring
- Demonstrated experience in facilities or operations management within commercial property or a similar environment.
- Experience within retail property will be highly regarded.
- Strong leadership and contractor management skills.
- Financial acumen
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work autonomously.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to delivering high operational standards.
