About the Role
We are currently seeking a Factory Supervisor to join the team. This is a night shift role working 3 days per week, Monday - Wednesday, 2.50pm - 4.00am (totaling 38 hours). Reporting to the Operations Manager, the focus of the role as a Factory Supervisor is to oversee the manufacturing operations (up to 20 staff) to ensure production targets are met and being responsible for all employee relations including staffing, training and performance issues with the support of the HR department.
The successful candidate will receive training on day shift for several weeks before moving to night shift.
Duties
- Coordinate manufacturing operations and ensure set production schedule is met each shift, whilst ensuring product standards and product specifications align.
- Supervising team members and team leaders whilst driving a high performance culture amongst the Manufacturing Team and assisting with the coordination of Training & Development.
- Assisting with implementation of manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure all shifts are meeting strategic objectives.
- Building of Tooling and installation into presses.
- Ensure Toolbox and pre start meetings are being attended and driven by Team Leaders.
- Working closely with other Supervisors ensuring production schedules and quality assurance is met
- Ensuring Elastomers Australia policies and procedures are always complied to, including the strictest compliance to OH&S; and QA policies both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising and leading a team of staff
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated technical skills to operate factory equipment, assist in maintenance (be mechanically minded) and communicate maintenance issues.
- Ability to lead a team whilst remaining hands on and assist team members on the floor.
- Demonstrated ability to train and supervise employees.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards specified deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of OHS in day to day operations.
