General Duties & Plant Operator - Northern Depot – September 2026

These roles generally works a four-day, 38 hour week roster out of the Cummins Depot of Council, with the main duties being:

· Road maintenance - sealed roads;

- Surface repairs,
- Kerbs,
- Stormwater infrastructure (grates, entry pits, headwalls and outfalls)
- Directional and other sign infrastructure/assets

· Road maintenance - unsealed roads:
- Stormwater infrastructure (pipes, headwalls and outfalls)
- Guideposts, directional signs and other sign infrastructure/assets

· Footpath and road verge maintenance (weed control, mowing, tree trimming);

· Parks, gardens, cemeteries, public toilets and playgrounds;

· Jetties, boat ramps and other coastal infrastructure;

· Minor construction projects (e.g. footpaths,



playground equipment); and The successful applicants will be self-motivated team players and demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Salary and conditions of employment will be at Grade 2 or 3 (depending upon experience) in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, currently between $72,362 and $76,926 per annum.
