We're seeking an experienced, hands‐on Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the safety, reliability and productive operation of plant, equipment, facilities and fleet at our Vineyard packing facility.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Head of Site Operations, your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Developing and actioning preventative maintenance schedules and breakdown repairs
n
- Maintaining packing equipment, including multi-head weighers, Omori flow wrappers, conveyors and pneumatic systems
n
- Investigating faults and improving equipment reliability and uptime
n
- Providing a rapid, hands‐on response to equipment breakdowns and fault repairs
n
- Maintaining asset registers, service records and critical spare‐parts inventory
n
- Planning shutdowns, equipment replacements and improvement works
n
- Coordinating electrical, refrigeration, automation and other specialist contractors
n
- Managing the servicing, repairs, registrations and maintenance of forklifts and the transport fleet, ensuring these are completed on time without disruption to operations
n
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, permit‐to‐work, food safety and statutory requirements
n
- Working closely with Production, Quality and Food Safety teams to minimise downtime and protect product integrity
n
- Participating in an after‐hours on‐call roster to respond to time‐critical breakdowns
n

About You

n

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

n

n




- A trade qualification in mechanical fitting, electrical, refrigeration/HVAC or a comparable technical discipline
n
- At least five years' experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferable within food manufacturing, FMCG or agribusiness
n
- Demonstrated experience maintaining high‐speed packing or processing equipment
n
- Experience with multi-head weighers, flow wrappers, conveyors and pneumatic systems
n
- Strong general mechanical and equipment‐maintenance knowledge
n
- A sound understanding of WHS legislation and permit‐to‐work systems, including lock‐out/tag‐out, confined spaces, working at heights and hot work
n
- Strong fault‐finding, problem‐solving and organisational skills
n
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and competing maintenance priorities
n

n

You'll be practical, safety‐focused and calm under pressure, with the ability to build strong relationships and respond effectively to time‐critical breakdowns.

n

Experience with a CMMS, refrigeration compliance, PLC/automation fault‐finding, a forklift licence, or an understanding of food‐grade and hygienic maintenance practices (food‐safe lubricants, hygienic equipment design and GMP) will be highly regarded.
