This is an exciting position in a buoyant suburban law firm. The successful applicant will be trained in various aspects of a legal office. The position calls for an enthusiastic person who has initiative and is willing to learn and step-up to challenges. You will work closely with our principal solicitor receiving invaluable training on a range of legal matters including alternate dispute resolution family law, estates, wills POA and Enduring Guardians and conveyancing all of which will assist you in your evolution into a para-legal.

Key responsibilities

Collecting daily mail, recording mail, filing, shredding and disposing of sensitive documents

Ensuring photocopier is stocked with paper

Printing and distributing emails received to mainframe at regular intervals

Washing office dishes and general office cleaning including dusting, vacuuming

Banking if and when required





Updating Journals and opening current files and recording on accounting system

Opening Deed packets and archiving concluded files and recording on accounting system

Writing of receipt payments and cheques and printing Draft Bills

Maintaining client and referrer database and assisting with preparation and settling of newsletter

Greeting clients, answering telephones, making appointments for clients/solicitors, attending to clients in payment of eftpos/credit card

PA to Principal Solicitor of firm, dicta phone work, assisting solicitor in preparation of Brief to Counsel

Collating and photocopying documents and files, typing and preparing Invoices and Accounts
