Senior Business Manager, Support at Home

An established care and services organisation is seeking an experienced Support at Home Business Manager to lead the strategic, operational and financial performance of its Support at Home and fee-for-service operations.

n

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can combine solid knowledge of the Support at Home environment with commercial capability, regulatory expertise and a genuine commitment to high-quality participant outcomes. A clinical background would be highly regarded, given the role's oversight of clinical care activities, reporting and complex service matters.

The opportunity

n

Reporting to an Executive leader, you will have end-to-end accountability for the department's performance and continued development. You will work closely with operational and clinical team members and regularly present to the Executive team and Board.

Your key responsibilities will include:

n

- Leading the Support at Home business model, service delivery and ongoing development
n
- Owning the department budget, including revenue, expenditure, forecasting and overall financial performance across Support at Home and fee-for-service activities
n
- Providing clear operational, financial, clinical and compliance reporting to Executives and the Board
n
- Ensuring services comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Support at Home program requirements and other relevant legislation and guidance
n
- Acting as the organisation's subject-matter expert on Support at Home and providing practical advice to employees, participants and families on complex service matters
n
- Overseeing clinical care activities and reporting in partnership with the clinical lead
n
- Ensuring incidents are accurately reported, appropriately managed and submitted within required timeframes
n
- Leading the organisation's response to regulatory audits and engagement with relevant government departments
n




- Managing relationships with external agencies and service partners
n
- Taking business ownership of the organisation's care-management platform, including participant budgets, fees, case notes, forms and reporting
n
- Overseeing organisational training records and compliance through the learning-management system
n
- Maintaining contemporary policies and procedures aligned with best practice and Support at Home requirements
n
- Leading, supporting and developing a geographically dispersed team
n

About you

n

You will be a commercially capable leader who can operate confidently across service delivery, governance, compliance and stakeholder management.

n

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

n

n
- Significant leadership experience within Support at Home.
n
- Strong and current knowledge of Support at Home program requirements and the Aged Care Quality Standards
n
- Demonstrated responsibility for budgets, financial performance and operational results
n
- Experience reporting to, or presenting to, Executive teams and Boards
n
- Experience managing regulatory audits, compliance obligations and relationships with government or external agencies
n
- The ability to interpret complex requirements and provide clear, practical advice to varied stakeholders
n
- Strong systems capability, ideally including experience with AlayaCare Cloud or a comparable care-management platform
n
- Proven experience leading and engaging geographically dispersed teams
n
- Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder-management skills
n
- A relevant clinical qualification or substantial clinical-care experience, which would be highly regarded
n
