We are seeking an experienced and passionate Community Engagement Manager to play a pivotal role in building strong, respectful, and mutually beneficial relationships between Sodexo, our client, and the communities surrounding our remote operations.

n

This role is central to fostering community partnerships, supporting local employment and enterprise opportunities, and ensuring our operations create lasting social value. You will be a visible and trusted presence both on-site and within local communities—driving engagement initiatives, supporting events, and strengthening meaningful connections.

n

This position involves weekly travel to remote sites, with flexibility required to extend time onsite to support mobilisation and operational priorities.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

n

n
- Build strong relationships with site teams, Elders, Traditional Owners, and local communities
n
- Act as a key liaison between Sodexo, clients, and stakeholders
n
- Ensure culturally respectful and inclusive engagement
n
- Maintain accurate records for reporting and compliance
n
- Support operational teams in delivering contractual outcomes
n

Partnership Development

n

n
- Review local businesses to identify opportunities to support Village and Camp projects
n
- Focus on engaging and supporting local Indigenous‐owned businesses, nurturing opportunities for growth and sustainability
n




- Promote Sodexo as a trusted long‐term partner within regional and remote communities
n

n

Employment & Recruitment

n

n
- Identify and promote local employment opportunities across casual and permanent roles within the Village
n
- Work closely with Sodexo recruitment teams to develop and execute local recruitment strategies
n

n

Indigenous Engagement

n

n
- Work closely with Sodexo's indigenous affairs team on initiatives and community programs as required.
n
- Support Indigenous participation in employment, training, and supplier opportunities
n
- Ensure culturally significant events and initiatives are respectfully and appropriately supported
n

n

Events & Community Activation

n

n
- Plan and deliver community and Village events to a high standard, including (but not limited to):n n
- Australia Day
n
- Theme nights celebrations
n
- NAIDOC Week
n
- Encourage resident participation in community events and initiatives onsite
n

Opportunity & Project Development

n

n
- Identify local project and service opportunities
n
- Collaborate internally to deliver shared outcomes
n
- Prioritise local employment where possible
n

n

Governance & Reporting

n

- Ensure all contractual requirements related to community engagement are met and documented
n
- Monitor, evaluate,



and report on community engagement outcomes and social value contributions
n
- Provide regular updates to site and contract leadership
n
- Ensure compliance with Sodexo policies, Indigenous engagement commitments, and client expectations
n

Qualifications

- Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or a similar role
n
- Strong understanding of working with Indigenous communities and cultural protocols

- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

- High attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation capability

- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
n
- Flexibility to travel regularly and adapt to changing operational needs
