We're seeking a proactive Greenkeeper to head up a local council sports field mowing contract in the Sutherland Shire. This is a full time position operating a large wide cutting mower and take home transporter, floating between sites across the contract area.
What you'll be doing
- Operate a large wide cutting mower and take home transporter across multiple sites
- Coordinate mowing, line marking and sports field preparation
- Lead and mentor staff maintaining sports field surfaces
- Monitor turf health and implement improvement plans
- Apply fertilisers, herbicides and pest control safely and accurately
- Maintain high WHS standards across all mowing operations and staff
- Liaise with stakeholders and report on turf presentation
- Identify and put forward improvement strategies to the client
- Support overall site presentation, detailing and landscape edging
What we're looking for
- Proven experience operating wide cutting mowers and turf equipment
- Experience towing and transporting equipment between sites
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and suggest improvements
- Sound WHS knowledge and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- A genuine interest in turf presentation and quality
