Position: Casual Support Workers (Male Only - requirement as per Behaviour Support Plan)

About the role
n
As a Disability Support Worker at Trueliving NDIS, your primary focus is delivering person-centred, high-quality support to people with a disability. You will assist clients to identify and achieve the goals that matter to them, and empower them to make informed choices about how they want to live their lives.
n
The successful will need to have flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, public holidays, and overnight shifts.
n
Role Responsibilities
n
n
- Daily Living Support: Provide personal care (grooming, toileting), medication administration, and meal preparation in line with individual care plans.
n
- Promote Independence: Use active support principles to encourage participants to engage in daily activities and domestic tasks.
n
- Community Connection: Help participants engage in hobbies and social interests, while assisting with transport (public transport, taxis, and company vehicles).
n
- Specialised Care: Support participants with high physical needs or behaviours of concern, following manual handling assessments and behaviour support plans.
n
- Equipment & Advocacy:
Maintain communication aids and personal equipment while advocating for participants and their families to access community resources.
n
- Documentation: Complete accurate case notes, medical records, and client management updates in a timely and professional manner.
n
- Environment: Foster an enjoyable, respectful, and secure environment for all participants at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications
n
n
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Mental Health (or currently working towards).
n
- Previous industry experience in Australia or relevant personal lived experience.
n
- Full valid NSW Driver's License & Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance.
n
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate/Proof of Vaccination.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
n
- Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment (or willing to obtain).
n
- Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain).
n
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules (or willing to obtain).
n
- Smartphone with reliable internet access and the ability to download/use rostering applications.
n
