The Director of Sales, Area Sales Office – Australia will be responsible for driving national account sales efforts across Hilton's portfolio of hotels in Australasia. This role will lead a team of face-to-face sales professionals located across the country, with the objective of generating business from a portfolio of accounts based in Australasia. The role holder will ensure Hilton hotels in Australasia achieve their revenue targets, grow market share, and strengthen customer relationships.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Hilton Worldwide Sales – Australasia, this position will develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Hilton's broader commercial objectives and collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver commercial success.

Directing Activities
n
n
- Achieve revenue goals that include building business and driving market share.
n
- Retain and expand sales opportunities to produce substantial growth in revenue through the sales team located across Australia.
n
- Support the management of key accounts and ensure alignment with broader sales strategies.
n
- Work closely with the Regional Director of Sales HWS Australasia to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution.
n
n
Planning Activities
n
n
- Develop and implement sales plans within the team to meet and exceed performance targets.
n
- Strategize approaches to sales proposals and business development opportunities.
n
- Provide recommendations based on extensive understanding of the local market and industry trends.
n
- Support new hotel openings within Australasia by contributing to pre-opening sales planning and execution.
n
n
People Activities
n
n
- Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and motivating a team of sales professionals across Australia.
n
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and recognition.
n
- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behaviour and absolute discretion with sensitive information.
n
n
Organizing Activities
n
n
- Coordinate and organize trade shows, roadshows, and other customer engagement events.
n
- Attend Commercial Meetings and Management Exchanges as required to represent the ASO team and contribute to strategic discussions.
n
- Support additional functions within Hilton Worldwide Sales (HWS) Australasia as appropriate.
n
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
n
- Performance Monitoring: Set performance goals for the sales team, monitor their progress, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
n
- Team Motivation: Foster a positive and motivating work environment to encourage high performance and team collaboration.
n
n
Monitoring Activities
n
n
- Monitor and maintain a close, accessible relationship with hotels and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
n
- Develop relationships with key hotel management partners and other stakeholders in the markets where ASOs operate.
n
- Ensure compliance with Hilton's company policies and standards.
n
n

You have these minimum qualifications:
n
n
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
n
- 10 years of experience, preferably in hospitality Sales
n
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing large or distributed teams
n
- Experience in the hotel, travel and leisure industry
n
- Ability to create and develop highly motivated and performing sales teams
n
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans
n
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal,
with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Ability to analyse data, create compelling business cases, coupled with great influencing skill to present the findings and propose strategic and tactical recommendations to senior leaders.
n
