TFH Northern Rivers, operated by Northern Rivers Fencing, is looking for a reliable MR Truck Driver and Labourer to join our friendly local team.

n

This is a varied, hands-on position delivering, installing and collecting temporary fencing and servicing portable toilets throughout the Northern Rivers. You will also assist with general and residential fencing work when required.

n

You will work as part of a small team and independently, travelling between multiple sites and completing several scheduled jobs each day.

n

A dedicated handover and on-the-job training period is available now. The successful applicant must therefore be able to start immediately or within the next few days.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Driving an MR truck and towing trailers throughout the Northern Rivers
n
- Loading and unloading temporary fencing and equipment using a forklift
n
- Delivering, installing, relocating and dismantling temporary fencing
n
- Delivering and positioning portable toilets onsite
n
- Operating vacuum-pump equipment to empty, clean and restock portable toilets
n
- Completing several scheduled jobs across different sites each day
n
- Using tools and assisting with general and residential fencing work when required
n
- Checking equipment and assisting with basic maintenance and yard duties
n
- Receiving job information, uploading photos and completing records using a smartphone
n




- Communicating professionally with builders, site supervisors, customers and our office team
n

Essential requirements

n

n
- A current, unrestricted MR or above driver licence
n
- Current Construction White Card
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
- Availability to start immediately
n
- Confidence towing and reversing trailers
n
- A safe and responsible driving history
n
- Ability to safely undertake repetitive physical work, including handling fence panels and concrete feet weighing up to approximately 33kg
n
- Reliability, honesty and strong attention to detail
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team
n
- A practical attitude and willingness to assist with different tasks
n
- Comfort working outdoors in changing weather and construction-site conditions
n
- Comfort directly servicing portable toilets using vacuum-pump equipment
n
- Ability to use a smartphone for job information, photos and records
n
- Willingness to meet the occupational vaccination requirements for sewage work, including hepatitis A, hepatitis B and current tetanus protection, subject to medical advice
n

Experience and tickets that are highly regarded

n

n
- Current LF forklift licence
n




- Experience operating forklifts to load and unload trucks
n
- Knowledge or experience operating vacuum pumps
n
- Experience in portable sanitation, septic, wastewater or liquid-waste services
n
- Temporary-fencing installation experience
n
- Residential or commercial fencing experience
n
- Construction labouring, machinery operation or equipment-maintenance experience
n

Forklift use is part of the position. Applicants without a current forklift licence may still be considered but must be willing to obtain one.

n

Previous vacuum-pump or portable-toilet servicing experience is an advantage, but training will be provided to the right person.

Important information

n

This is not a truck-driving-only position. Regular heavy manual work and direct portable-toilet servicing are essential parts of the role.

It will suit a handy, dependable person who enjoys combining driving, machinery operation and practical outdoor work and takes pride in completing jobs properly.

Applicants must hold an unrestricted MR or higher licence and have full Australian working rights. Visa sponsorship is not available.
