Are you an analytical and detail-oriented professional with experience in engineering data, data analysis, automation or automotive regulatory processes?
Our client is a well-established global automotive company, we are seeking a Homologation Data Analyst / Engineer on a 10 months contract, to support global vehicle homologation programs through data analysis, process improvement, automation and cross-functional coordination. This is a part-time position with approximately****32 hours per week, based in Geelong.

About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with global Program and Engineering teams to coordinate technical deliverables and support vehicle homologation activities. You will also have the opportunity to identify opportunities to modernise existing processes, automate data workflows and develop reporting tools and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface and communicate with global Program and Engineering teams, including Marketing, Product Development, Planning and Manufacturing, to support project plans and coordinate deliverable completion for global vehicle homologation.
- Analyse business activities and identify opportunities to modernise processes, including developing automation scripts to extract, transform and load technical engineering and homologation data.
- Analyse business activities to identify reporting and data requirements and modernise existing tools and processes.
- Utilise Microsoft tools, including Excel, Power Automate and SharePoint, to develop dashboards, charts and graphs.
- Support team members with software application maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collect and consolidate engineering data into final government vehicle homologation applications.
- Prepare and submit technical information to government authorities, partners and external agencies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across data, reporting and homologation processes.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience in the automotive industry.
- Prior experience in regulatory, homologation or industry standards development.
- Familiarity with automation and data tools such as Excel Macros, Access, VBA and/or Alteryx.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter attitude with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
- High levels of integrity and qualified ethics.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Adaptability and the ability to work effectively across varying work conditions.
- Strong English communication skills.
