Private Housekeeper

Private Residence | Vaucluse, Sydney An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Private Housekeeper to join a professionally run private household based in Vaucluse. We are seeking a career housekeeper who takes genuine pride in the presentation, organisation and upkeep of a home and understands the discretion, consistency and attention to detail required when working within a private residence.

This is a long-term, Sydney-based position offering stability, autonomy and the opportunity to become a trusted part of an established household. The role will initially be live-out, with the potential for it to develop into a live-in position within approximately 12 months, subject to the needs of both the household and successful applicant.

The Role

Working independently and within established household routines, your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining all areas of the residence to an exceptional standard
- Detailed cleaning and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces
- Complete laundry management, including washing, ironing and wardrobe care
- Bed making, linen rotation and management of household linens
- Care and appropriate cleaning of delicate fabrics, finishes and household items
- Maintaining organised cupboards, storage areas and household supplies
- Receiving deliveries and assisting with the general day-to-day presentation of the residence
- Working discreetly and professionally around the principals, family members and guests
- Taking ownership of the overall presentation and upkeep of the home

this is a dedicated housekeeping position and does not include cooking or meal preparation.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings a professional approach to private service and enjoys taking ownership of their working environment. Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience within a private household, luxury residence, yacht or five-star hotel environment
- Excellent knowledge of professional cleaning techniques, products and equipment
- Solid understanding of laundry, ironing, linen and fine fabric care
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining presentation standards
- A calm, reliable and highly organised working style
- The ability to work independently and manage your daily responsibilities without constant supervision
- A high level of discretion and respect for the privacy of the family
- Professional personal presentation and communication skills
- A full NSW driver's licence
