Clinical Nurse - Main Operating Theatres

A permanent part-time opportunity to provide advanced clinical care, leadership, education, and support within one of Queensland's leading tertiary healthcare facilities.

About the role
n
As a Clinical Nurse within Perioperative Services, you will provide advanced clinical nursing care and leadership within the Main Operating Theatres at The Prince Charles Hospital. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care while supporting the day-to-day coordination and effective operation of theatre services. This role combines expert clinical practice with leadership, education, quality improvement, and service development.

About you

- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

- Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of consumer/patient centred care.
n
- Respond appropriately to and provide support and direction to manage sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/patient using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
n
- Provide teaching to both consumers/patients and their families to facilitate learning and enable them to move towards independence.
n
- Support an evidence-based learning workplace and participate in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
