The Opportunity

n

Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, you will support risk management, assurance and compliance activities across the Archdiocese.

n

Working as part of a small specialist team, you will conduct assurance reviews, analyse risk and compliance data, maintain risk management systems and contribute to initiatives that strengthen organisational governance and risk management capability.

n

This position would suit an analytical and naturally curious professional who enjoys working with data,



understanding how organisations operate, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting informed decision-making.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Conduct assurance reviews and report on findings, recommendations and management responses.
n
- Analyse, aggregate and transform data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
n
- Provide analytical support to business units on risk management and compliance matters.
n
- Monitor and track assurance review recommendations, action plans, issues and incidents.
n
- Assist with the ongoing review and enhancement of risk registers, incident registers, procedures and risk profiles.
n
- Support the delivery of training and education initiatives that strengthen risk awareness and promote a positive risk and compliance culture.
n
- Prepare reports and risk information for committees, forums and leadership groups.
n
- Contribute to project work and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by the Risk & Compliance Manager.

About You

n

You will be an organised, analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys interpreting information, solving problems and working within a complex organisational environment.

n

To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Governance,



Audit, Business, Law or a related discipline.
n
- A minimum of two years' experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management and/or Compliance.
n
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
n
- Excellent written communication and report-writing capability.
n
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and confidence learning new systems and technologies.
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to your work.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
n
- An ability to work independently while contributing positively to a cooperative team environment.
n
- An understanding of, or genuine interest in, the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
