The Role
n
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll lead day-shift production and operating staff, plus agency labour, across the site's four work centres. Key focus areas include:

- Lead a day shift crew of 15-20 people.
n
- Leading shift readiness - onsite ahead of shift start, structured handover, team ready to produce by 6am
n
- Delivering the daily Production Planning Schedule, escalating and communicating any changes immediately
n
- Planning ahead to ensure labour, materials and equipment are ready for the next day's production
n
- Coordinating output across Coolants, Water Based, Industrial Fills and Small Pack Fills
n
- Championing a zero-harm safety culture in a Dangerous Goods and flammable-chemicals environment, including hazardous-area awareness and permit-to-work/hot-work controls
n
- Owning Manufacturing Order (MO) data accuracy and addressing errors at the source
n
- Driving continuous improvement in productivity, quality and standards
n
- Maintaining housekeeping and site presentation standards across production areas

About You
n
n
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar supervisory role within an industrial manufacturing environment
n
- Demonstrated front-line leadership - leading, coordinating and developing production teams to deliver a daily schedule
n
- Strong safety focus and understanding of working within a regulated or hazardous manufacturing setting
n
- Sound planning and organisational skills across labour, materials and equipment
n
- Discipline with production and data systems, including MO/ERP accuracy
n
- Available and reliable for an early-start day shift (onsite by 5:45am)
n
- Experience in industrial chemicals or a Dangerous Goods/flammable-chemicals environment highly regarded
n
- Current forklift licence and first-aid certification an advantage (support available if not currently held)
