This role will suit a Senior Payroll Officer who enjoys the technical side of payroll and wants to play a key role in payroll compliance, process improvement and transformation projects.

THE ROLE
- End-to-end payroll processing for salaried staff
- Payroll tax ownership across multiple entities
- Reviewing and improving payroll tax processes and reporting
- Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
- Complex payroll calculations, back pays and adjustments
- Payroll reconciliations and compliance activities
- Leave reviews and payroll audits
- Acting as an escalation point for technical payroll matters
- Supporting payroll projects, testing, UAT and process improvement initiatives
- Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline payroll workflows
- Cross-checking payroll outputs and supporting quality assurance activities
THE PERSON -
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Proven Senior Payroll Officer with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge within complex payroll environment
- Multi-state payroll tax reporting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Robust understanding of Awards and Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance
- Strong systems capability and process improvement mindset
- Ability to own and resolve complex payroll matters
- Positive, proactive and collaborative approach
- iChris experience, or UKG experience would be highly regarded
- Experience with payroll projects, implementations or UAT testing
- Strong stakeholder management skills across HR, Finance and Operations
