Cirka Catering is on an exciting growth trajectory, underpinned by our upcoming takeover as the provider of café and catering services across all campuses for the Box Hill Institute in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

We are looking for driven, organised and passionate Kitchen Hands & FOH staff to join and build upon our established onsite kitchen and catering team at the Nelson and Elgar campuses in Box Hill!

Working at a leading TAFE, Box Hill Institute, this is a casual role working primarily between the hours of 6:30am-4:00pm Mon-Fri, where you will help support our Cirka88–branded cafés and function activities.

About the Roles

As a Kitchen Hand with Cirka, some of your responsibilities will include:

- Assist with food preparation and plating.
- Assist Chefs during service and event setup.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety standards.
- Restock kitchens stations and support inventory management.

As a Front of House Team Member with Cirka, some of your responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring all customers feel welcome, respected, and valued.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing and serving a range of high-quality hot and cold beverages for customers.




- Efficiently managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup/pack down of dining areas.
- Communicating with Kitchen and BOH staff to ensure that food counters and fridges are continuously stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness of the FOH area and ensure compliance regarding all food-related practices & procedures.

To be considered for these roles it is essential that you can demonstrate that you:
- Have previous experience in a rapid-paced kitchen or customer-focused environments.
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to hygiene practices.
- Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check
- A Do Food Safely certificate.
