We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to join a dedicated team operating within a secure facility environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring laundry items are thoroughly inspected and processed safely before entering the laundering process.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive laundry deliveries and process incoming items
- Inspect laundry to ensure it is free from prohibited or unauthorised items
- Securely handle and store any identified contraband in accordance with procedures
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Report equipment faults, defects, and safety concerns to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organised, and secure work area
- Follow all workplace safety and operational procedures
- Assist with additional duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Strong attention to detail
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Good communication skills
- Ability to perform physically active work and be on your feet throughout the shift
Essential Requirements
- Ability to work within a secure environment
- Must have an MR license
- Understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements
- Ability to identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses
- Pass required pre-employment checks
