Our client, a globally connected engineering and project delivery consultancy, is looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join their Brisbane team and help shape some of the region's most complex and rewarding projects. Working across the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors, you'll be part of a genuinely global team, drawing on international expertise while delivering outcomes that matter locally. This is a role for an engineer who enjoys the technical challenge as much as the leadership one. You'll take ownership of electrical engineering deliverables from concept through to commissioning, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, practical, and high-quality solutions for clients. Alongside the technical work, you'll guide project teams and mentor engineers, helping to build capability across the business.

In this role, you will:
- Take the lead on electrical engineering scope from early studies through to detailed design and project execution
- Develop and review designs, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation
- Act as the go-to discipline expert, providing technical direction within multidisciplinary project teams
- Contribute to capital cost estimates, engineering schedules, and broader project planning
- Keep designs aligned with the relevant Australian and international standards, regulations, and internal procedures
- Stay closely involved through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Coach and develop engineers, building a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Champion strong QA/QC practices so every deliverable is safe, accurate, and fit for purpose
About you You'll hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a minimum of 15 years' experience as an electrical engineer, including experience gained within a consultancy environment.
You'll also bring experience delivering electrical engineering solutions across, engineering, mining, energy, or infrastructure environments, along with a track record of leading project teams and managing electrical engineering deliverables across the full project lifecycle. Ideally, your experience is commensurate with CPEng status.
You bring a strong understanding of relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practice, along with the communication skills to build effective relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Above all, you demonstrate a genuine commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
